EMPLOYEE STOCK OWNERSHIP PLAN: BENEFIT, RISK AND SOLUTION
Lawlink Vietnam has recently received many questions and orders relating to drafting and performing ESOP.
About ESOP, for the past 5 years, there have been many large-and-medium-sized enterprises who applied ESOP as a special policy to reward employees for their contribution, loyalty and to keep the talented.
However, there are not many firms who understand and apply ESOP correctly and successfully. Lawlink Vietnam recently has been represented for a numerous clients including listed companies and employees at senior level in court rooms regarding to ESOP.
Having experienced such cases, we realized that, one of most popular reasons for the failure of ESOP is about technique: those who adivse on ESOP (HR or financial people, depending) do not have intensive knowledge on ESOP, eventually, ESOP policy may not be supported by the employees, nor approved by the shareholders.
