NGUYỄN XUÂN THÀNH
Nguyen Xuan Thanh is a seasoned lawyer and notary with more than 20 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution. His practice focuses on complex matters involving construction, real estate, insurance, debt recovery, and intellectual property infringement.
Before joining Lawlink Vietnam (LLVN), Thanh served as Managing Lawyer of Saigonlaw Office and held senior legal and compliance positions at several major Vietnamese companies and groups operating in the real estate and construction sectors, including Dat Xanh Group and Hoa Binh Construction Group.
At LLVN, Thanh leads and handles litigation and dispute resolution matters, debt recovery, and legal services relating to infrastructure, real estate and construction. Drawing on his extensive experience both as legal counsel and a litigator, he brings a practical and solution-oriented approach to each matter, with careful consideration of the client’s commercial objectives and the prospects of an effective resolution.
Thanh’s approach to legal practice is inspired by Abraham Lincoln’s counsel to lawyers: “Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can.” He believes that a well-negotiated resolution may, in appropriate circumstances, serve a client better than prolonged litigation - while remaining prepared to pursue the matter firmly when litigation becomes necessary.
Before pursuing a legal career, Thanh briefly explored journalism - though perhaps not long enough to realize his prospects of winning a Pulitzer Prize. Photography remains his greatest passion. He is often the person behind the camera, capturing LLVN’s most candid moments - which also explains why finding a suitable portrait of him for the firm’s website has proved surprisingly difficult.
